U.S. Army look set to acquire MH-47Gs in Block 2 configuration
After production of the MH-47G Block 1 ends this year, the U.S. Army intends to buy an undisclosed number of MH-47Gs in Block 2 configuration.

The U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) has a requirement to replace some of its 61 remanufactured MH-47Gs Block 1.

F-35 refuels from Italian KC-767
F-35A performed its first aerial refueling with a foreign air force tanker when AF-4 took fuel from an Italian Air Force KC-767A at Edwards Air Force Base on Jul. 29.

Iran may be trying to hide nuclear evidence
Satellite photos take last month have shown unusual activities at Parchin military base. Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) believes such activities could be “related to refurbishment or clean-up prior to any IAEA inspection or the taking of environmental samples.”

Italian Air Force clears Guardian aerial firefighting system on C-130J
The Italian Air Force has certified the Guardian aerial firefighting system for use on the Lockheed Martin C-130J.

The C-130J will be able to carry 20,000 liters of water or retardant compared to just 6,000 liters for the C-27J.

First USAF T-38 to complete Pacer Classic III modifications
Technicians in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex’s 575th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, recently completed the first aircraft in the T-38 (Pacer Classic III) modification program.
The first completed T-38 Talon from the PACER Classic III program is unveiled July 31, 2015, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. Pacer Classic III (PC III) represents the largest single structural modification ever undertaken on the T-38 aircraft and will extend the service life of the modified aircraft by 15-20 years. The program will extend the life of the T-38 Talon to 2029.
