Russia cuts number of T-50s ordered to one squadron
Russia has decided to reduce the number of Sukhoi T-50s to be ordered and reduce the buy to just a single squadron, Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said.

Fincantieri to build one LHD for Italian Navy
Fincantieri to build one LHD for Italian Navy
The Italian Navy has placed an order with Fincantieri for one LHD. The total value of the contract is over 1.1 billion euros and the ship is due for delivery in 2022.

The ship’s combat systems will be furnished by Selex ES and its main radar system will consists of four-fixed-face X-band scanned-arrays.

On Oct. 1 last year, the crew on board a MV-22B attempted to take off from USS Makin Island for a mission to reinforce the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. Unfortunately, the flight never made it to Iraq and the aircraft was nearly lost.

Investigators found that the tilt-rotor was started up in maintenance mode, a setting that reduced the available engine power by 20 percent. A design flaw failed to warn the crew they were about to fly without enough power.
