The U.S. Marine Corps has issued its request for proposals for the engineering and manufacturing development phase of the Amphibious Combat Vehicle.
The latest announcement, published on Mar. 26, is another attempt by the service to replace its aging Amphibious Assault Vehicles.
Each contractor under the EMD phase will supply 16 vehicles. The winner will then go on to supply 60 vehicles under Low-Rate Initial Production. Full-Rate Production contract calls for 148 vehicles.
