RAF Search and Rescue Force’s final operational flight

The Royal Air Force’s Search and Rescue Force ended more than 74 years of continuous operations when the duty crew at RAF Chivenor was relieved from its standby commitment at 13:00 on Oct. 4.

Search and rescue service will now be undertaken by Bristow Helicopters Ltd across Britain.
