The Israeli Defense Ministry demanded his resignation after he had criticized publicly Israel’s foreign policy with regard to ties with Singapore during the IMDEX 2015 naval exhibition in Singapore.
The government was also unhappy that his firm had sold weapons to an unnamed country in central Asia without government approval and in direct competition with another Israeli weapons maker.
A third incident involving his firm was that an engineer from Rafael had secretly uploaded classified documents from the IDF network.
