A Turkish Admiral working at the headquarters of NATO’s Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia is said to be seeking asylum in the United States as the Turkish government had issued a detention order for him.

The Qayyarah bridge is the only crossing along the Tigris that connects Mosul and Baghdad. Since being occupied by Iraqi military, ISIL fighters have been trying to destroy the military bridge that now span across the river. In order to achieve that, they packed explosives into tree trunks and a refrigerator and float them down from upstream in an attempt to blow up bridge.

Hacking group Anonymous has managed to penetrate the servers of South African weapons procurement agency Armscor and took away the company’s invoices from the past two years.
