People’s Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps based in Sanyan, Hainan was transported to Xinjiang in the western part of China this week. This is the first time that Chinese Marines have been deployed to Xinjiang.

The first wave headed west using trains from an unknown location in the western part of Guangdong province. Subsequent reinforcements were transported to Xinjiang using civilian airliners from Guangdon and Hainan airports.
