Rostec is formulating a plan to sell more military helicopters to Thailand in exchange for importing Thai commodities such as rubber, rice, food and fishery products.

A Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18F and King Air will be part of the flypast segment lead by the Papua New Guinea Defence Force during the country’s Independence Day celebrations on Sept. 16.

Guided firing trials of Meteor for the Eurofighter completed

All guided firing trials of the MBDA Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM) on the Eurofighter have been carried out at the British Hebrides range.

The testing is part of the Typhoon Phase 2 Enhancements (P2E) flight test campaign to enhance the capabilities of the fighter, including test-firing of the MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missile.

A-10s from Moody AFB heading to Europe

The U.S. Air Force has announced plans to send another detachment of A-10s, from 23rd Wing at Moody Air Force Base, to Europe as part of a second theater security package.

They will join 12 A-10s with the 355th Fighter Wing, deployed in Europe since February.

Poland orders AGM-158 JASSM

Poland is the third international customer for AGM-158 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) as Lockheed Martin has been awarded a FMS contract from the U.S. Air Force to supply the weapon for Polish F-16 fleet.

Opposition lawmaker slams S. Korean government for failing to certify Taurus on F-15K

An opposition lawmaker in South Korea criticized the government for failing to certify that the Taurus cruise missile works on the F-15K before signing a $450 million contract in 2013 to buy the weapon.

The Defense Acquisition Program Administration replied that it plans to do a live-firing test once it integrate the weapon on the jet.

RAAF completed its first operational mission in Syria

RAAF completed its first operational mission in Syria

Australia has carried out its first operational mission in Syria using two Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18A Hornets. The mission occurred overnight on Sept. 12.

The fighters were supported by a KC-30A and E-7A. Australia deployed six Hornets to the Middle East under Operation OKRA.
