Japanese man’s 70 years quest to locate family members of B-29 crew

A B-29 bomber was shot down over Tokyo on Apr. 2, 1945. None of the eleven crew members on board survived, a Japanese farmer and his son gathered the remains of the crew and buried them in their own ancestral cemetery.

After the war, his son traveled to the United States several times to locate the family members of the crew and fulfill his father’s dying wish to bring those families to the crash site.
