Lockheed Martin, Raytheon to develop Multi-Object Kill Vehicle
The Missile Defense Agency has awarded two contracts to Raytheon and Lockheed Martin for both companies to start research on the Multi-Object Kill Vehicle.

Both companies will have to come up with a proof-of-concept prototype and demonstrate risk mitigation steps.
The Multi-Object Kill Vehicle embeds several miniaturized kill vehicles in a single interceptor. Increasing the chance of destroying an incoming target.
