Two B-52Hs from the 96th Bomb Squadron flew non-stop to Australia on Jun. 30, dropped inert bombs at Delamere Air Weapons Range, and flew back in a 44-hour mission.

INS Viraat to be turned into a museum

INS Viraat to be turned into a museum

The Indian Ministry of Defense has approved the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation’s (APTDC) request to turn INS Viraat into a museum.

After decommissioning in 2016, the ship will be towed to Kakinada port in coastal Andhra for retirement.

India to station indigenous AEW&CS at Bhisiana

The Indian Air Force has selected Bhisiana Air Force Station to station its indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AEWACS) based on the Embraer ERJ 145.

Out of the three aircraft, only two will head to Bhisiana while the third will remain at Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS) in Bengaluru for development work.
