Ground testing of Storm Shadow on Eurofighter completed

Ground testing of MBDA’s Storm Shadow cruise missile on the Eurofighter have been completed and the weapon is now clear for flight trails.

Testing were done simultaneously at Alenia Aermacchi in Turin-Caselle and at BAE Systems in Warton, Lancashire.

RoKAF, U.S. Army Patriot crews practice linking their Patriot missile systems

For the second time, Patriot missile crews from the Republic of Korea Air Force and the U.S. Army carried a combined interoperability to link their systems together.

South Korea’s 199th Air Defense Artillery Battalion and the U.S. Army 2nd Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment were able to validate software and hardware configurations between their Patriot units by transferring data and communications.

British pilots carried out air strikes in Syria while flying with U.S. Navy

It has been revealed that British fighter pilots embedded with the U.S. Navy had taken part in bombing raids over Syria, despite the fact that the House of Commons had voted against military action in Syria in 2013.

Landing skills of the pilots from the 93rd Bomb Squadron will be tested as they attempt to land a B-52 at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture.

The massive bomber’s wing-tip landing gear spans 148 feet but the widest and longest runway at Oshkosh is just 8,000 feet by 150 feet.

Paveway IVs coming off the production line are heading straight to Saudi Arabia

Britain has agreed to let Saudi Arabia take over Paveway IV precision guided bombs on the production line at Raytheon UK that were meant for the Royal Air Force.

This is to ensure that the Saudis have healthy stocks of the weapon for strike missions against Islamic State targets and against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
