As Egypt takes delivery of Rafales, Dassault says it will increase production rate of the fighter

Egypt took delivery of its first three Rafale DM fighters at Dassault Aviation flight test center in Istres on Jul. 20. At the ceremony, company CEO Eric Trappier told reporters that production of the fighter jet would increase from 2018.

F-15 pilot who crashed in Virginia last year was incapacitated

An Accident Investigation Board convened by Air Combat Command has determined that the pilot of a F-15C was incapacitated when his jet went down over Deerfield, Virginia on Aug. 27, 2014.

Unfortunately, the board could not specify the reason behind his incapacitation due to a lack of evidence.

Alenia Aermacchi, Lockheed Martin has responded to Taiwan’s RFI for advanced jet trainer

Storm Media from Taiwan reported that a RFI was published last month for advanced jet trainers and so far, Alenia Aermacchi and Lockheed Martin have responded after the deadline on Jul. 13.

Western aircraft manufacturers are keen on this tender, which is expected to be floated at the end of year, as Taiwan is looking at replacing 66 of its aging AT-3s.
Taiwan is keen to have most of the aircraft assembled locally thus Alenia Aermacchi has approached AIDC as a local partner whilst Lockheed Martin is in talks with Evergreen Group.
