Guided Test Vehicle-1 was carried out off the coast of Virginia and the modified Longbow Hellfire missiles destroyed seven out of the eight targets presented. The test scenarios included hitting targets at both maximum and minimum missile ranges.
The most challenging aspect of the test was a three-shot “ripple fire” attack on high speed maneuvering surface targets (HSMSTs).
