Wrong trim settings lead to HAF F-16D crash at Albacete

The roll and yaw trim settings on board a Hellenic Air Force F-16D were incorrect when the jet started rolling down the runway at Los Llanos Air Base in Albacete, Spain on Jan. 26, 2015. Seconds later the jet slammed into the ground and killed the two crew members and nine French Air Force personnel on the tarmac.

Investigators believe a checklist might have contributed to the wrong settings as tests have shown that the yaw trim knob could be altered accidentally by a checklist under the right conditions.
