Thieves made off with detonators, grenades and plastic explosives from French munitions depot

The French authorities are investigating the theft of 180 detonators, 40 grenades and 10 half-pound blocks of plastic explosives from a ammunition depot in French southern city of Miramas.

Local police said the perpetrators appeared to have cut through a fence to enter the high-security site.

Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian ordered a review on security measures on such sites and propose corrective actions within 15 days.
