Sri Lanka Air Force refutes report that it bought JF-17s

Sri Lanka Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Gihan Senevirathne told Daily Mirror that his service did not purchase the JF-17 fighters.

Pakistan-based 92NewsHD earlier reported that Sri Lanka was the first export customer for the fighter.

A VC10 fuselage had to snaked its way through narrow streets during a six-hour road trip from Bruntingthorpe airfield in Leicestershire to RAF Cosford Museum where it will go under permanent display.

XR808 made its first flight on Jun. 9, 1966 and was retired in 2013.

Russia says new 9K333 Verba MANPADS knows no equals

Russia unveiled the 9K333 Verba manportable air defense system (MANPADS) at Army-2015 international forum and declared it as the best in the world.

The anti-air missile is the first of its type to be equipped with a three-channel seeker that collects data from the ultraviolet, near infrared and middle infrared bands.
The manufacturer claims that response time has been reduced from minutes to seconds with this new weapon.

The U.S. Senate passed the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act which included a provision to invite Taiwan to participate in the Red Flag exercises.

Hill AFB completes first depot-mod of F-35B

The Ogden Air Logistics Complex successfully carried out the first depot-level modifications for a F-35B recently and jet underwent a functional test flight with the first depot test pilot in the U.S. Air Force qualified in the F-35B.

Workers had spent four-months to carry out modifications to the two F-35Bs that arrived on Feb. 2.
The second F-35B is scheduled to be completed in the coming days.
