U.S. Marine Corps deploys MV-22 from Spain to Gabon

U.S. Marines operating out of Moròn, Spain were deployed to Gabon for training with Gabonese forces from Jun. 10-15. Four MV-22s and two KC-130Js were used to bring almost 200 Marines to their forward-staged compound, known as a Cooperative Security Location.

Northrop Grumman’s BAC 1-11 test aircraft equipped with AN/APG-81 AESA radar and AN/AAQ-37 DAS was deployed to Alaska for Northern Edge 15. However, the story was pulled after publication.

First group of Israeli M-346 student pilots to receive officer ranks

Student pilots undergoing the 170th Israeli Air Force fixed wing course receive their officer’s ranks on Jun. 23. This group is unique as they are the first to be trained to fly using the M-346.
