D-JHMCS will be able to detect GLOC, hypoxia
After a decade of research, Elbit will soon have a product that can prevent G-force induced loss of consciousness (GLOC) and hypoxia for fighter pilots.
The company will launch production of the helmet-mounted Canary Airborne Guardian system starting next year and the new technology is offered as an option for the Digital Joint Helmet-Mounted Cuing System.
The sensor, embedded inside the helmet, will measure heart rate and blood pressure across the pilot’s forehead to warn of impending GLOC, hypoxia.
