MILAN helping Kurds defeat ISIL’s IED attacks

Kurdish forces have managed to defeat vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED) attack by ISIL using MILAN anti-tank missiles supplied by Germany.

Without the wire-guided missiles, ISIL previously had successes in punching holes in Peshmerga defense lines using suicide vehicle attacks.
