Embraer delivers first modernized A-4 to Brazilian Navy

Embraer delivered the first upgraded A-4 (AF-1) to the Brazilian Navy on May 26 at its plant in Gavião Peixoto.

Press release said Embraer will modernize nine AF-1 single-seaters and three AF-1A two-seaters with new “navigation, weapons, power, tactical communications and sensor systems, plus computers and multimode state-of-the art radar.”

Russia says its “too early” to deliver S-300 to Iran

According to Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Yevgeny Lukyanov, Moscow feels its still “too early” to deliver the S-300 air defense system to Iran.

“The implementation of this project requires some time. As far as I understand the time of the delivery has not come yet,” Lukyanov told journalists.

Russia gave up on getting Mistral-class ships, will seek compensation

Russia has decided to seek compensation from France after giving up hope of having two Mistral-class helicopter carriers delivered.

Oleg Bochkaryov, a deputy chairman of the Russian Military Industrial Complex said Russia will now seek to build its own helicopter carriers instead.

RAAF E-7A achieves FOC
