Germany will pay €115 million towards the deal.

The ships will be smaller than the 1840-ton displacement of the Braunschweig-class corvette and all weapon systems on board will be Israeli-origin. However, they will be large enough to accommodate a utility helicopter and two medium-altitude, long-endurance UAVs.

It is expected that the new ships will be designated as Saar 6.
