Canadian drone being tested to hunt submarines

The Canadian military is interested to try out the TD100 from Brican Automated Systems to hunt for submarines or mines.

This summer, researchers with the National Research Council plans to install magnetometers on board the miniature unmanned aerial vehicle and test it around Bourget.

Meet the Surrogate Predator

The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory has modified a Cessna 182 so that it can mimic a Predator unmanned aerial vehicle.

Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance sensors were added so that the single-engine light plane can stand in for the Predator during exercises.

PLAN frigate aimed a “powerful light” at Philippine Air Force F-27

A Philippine Air Force F-27 transport plane flying over the Spratly Islands was illuminated by a “powerful light” from a Chinese frigate.

The aircraft was on a regular maritime patrol when the incident happened last Sunday. The Chinese warship also radioed the aircraft to warn it to stay away.
