Sweden will send a small team of up to 120 troops to northern Iraq to train Iraqi and Kurdish fighters.

Foreign Minister Margot Wallstroem said 35 soldiers will form the initial cadre and eventually the detachment may grow up to 120 people.
The Swedish forces are expected to be in place in June and will be under U.S. command.
